Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Montecastillo Golf was host to the European Tour's season-ending Volvo Masters from 1997-2001. Opened in 1991, the course features undulating terrain, raised teas, plateaued fairways, huge greens, large cloverleaf bunkers and water, which comes into play on 5 holes. The fairways and greens are kept in very good condition and the practice facilities are excellent.

121 air-conditioned rooms and suites including 99 standard rooms, 5 single rooms, 11 double superior rooms, 4 junior suites and 2 suites. All rooms have telephone, mini bar, hair dryer, satellite TV. Most have terrace or balcony overlooking the golf course and surrounding countryside. Also 1 and 2-bedroom villas including 17 two bedroom villas, 15 one bedroom villas and 1 Presidential Villa.
